Woolwich Creative Club visit Trinity Laban

Students and tutors at Trinity Laban

On Thursday, 25th May, Woolwich Creative Club took a trip to Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in Greenwich. This world-renowned institution, particularly celebrated for its jazz program, is easily accessible by train or bus, making it a perfect destination for our young musicians.

Upon arrival, students were greeted with the sight of Trinity Laban’s beautiful campus. Our students were buzzing with excitement as we began our tour, led by knowledgeable guides who shared fascinating insights about the conservatoire’s history and achievements.

One of the highlights of our visit was the opportunity to play alongside some of Trinity Laban’s talented music students who are also tutors at Woolwich Creative Club. Our musical director, Byron Wallen, who is not only a renowned jazz trumpeter but also a professor at Trinity Laban, facilitated this memorable experience.

The connection between Woolwich Creative Club and Trinity Laban runs deep. Several of our tutors are current students at the conservatoire, bringing their high-level training and passion for music to our club. This visit was a fantastic way to strengthen these ties and inspire our students to pursue their musical dreams.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Trinity Laban Conservatoire for welcoming us and to Byron Wallen for making leading the afternoon activities. The experience has left a lasting impression on our young musicians, fueling their passion and ambition for the future. Stay tuned for more adventures from Woolwich Creative Club!
